I tossed in turn,
With the moons phases.
A restless night.
Haunted by dreams of you.
Some days I wish,
I yearn,
I pine,
That I had never dreamt of you.
While others I regret,
It was but a dream.
Why couldn’t that one moment,
Caught within the span of time and space,
Day and Night,
Life and Death.
Was not my chaos driven,
Reality.
Your lips, brushed mine,
Soft at first,
Then more urgently.
Your arms, wrapped me in a tight embrace,
Gravity pulling us so close,
I didn’t know where you ended and I began.
Not that I wanted too…
My brain could barely function at this point.
So caught up in one moment,
My arms flung about your neck,
Our warm flesh,
Dazzling,
Tantalizing
Electrifying.
A kiss to melt the ice,
Encased about my heart.
When dawn approached,
A rosy glow from,
A great ball of fire,
Crimson, yellow, orange, pink,
Streaked the sky.
My eyes fluttered open,
Lashes daintily brushing my cheek,
Blinking rapidly to banish sleep from my sight.
A low curse was mumbled from my lips.
For it had been but a dream…..
The perfect dream…..
Yet a nightmare.
Within my waking hours.
